With the release of Windows 10, all Dynamics CRM releases including CRM 2011, CRM 2013, and CRM 2015 currently support Windows 10 for use with the web client. The supported browser is Internet Explorer 11 for CRM 2011, and CRM 2013.

Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2015 on Edge browser is available for CRM 2015 with Update 0.2 (7.0.2) and Update 1.1 (7.1.1)

Edge Support with Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 is not available:

    Hi,

Our help desk recently installed Windows 10 with Office 2016 on my computer. We use CRM 2013 On Premise. I can't find install files for an Outlook Client that works with Office 2016 and CRM 2013. According to this article it should be out by now. Do you know where I can find the install files?

I've been able to now glean from a Microsoft Support Representative that CRM 2011 (both the Web and Outlook Clients) is supported on Windows 10 post-RU17 and supported with Office 2016 post-RU18.

However, we're currently tracking an issue we may have identified with the CRM 2011 Outlook Client having serious issues with Office 2016 on Windows 10 (both the 32 & 64bit Client) and issues with Office 2016 on Windows 7/8.1 if it's the 64bit Client.

Why is there no mention of updated support on the download pages for the CRM Outlook clients. Specifically, we currently use CRM2011 and the official download page, which should be the main source of truth for system requirements, does not have any mention of Office 2016 support or even Windows 10.

I recently found this thread, which shows how-to resolve the issue with being unable to open pop-ups in CRM 2011.

    1. Open regedit.

    2. Open HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MSCRMClient

    3. Add a new DWORD 32key called: 'UseWebFormProcessIsolation'

    4. Set the value to 0.

    5. Restart Outlook.

I am new to crm and trying to find my way around.

    1. if we have dynamic crm 2015.1 upgrade, do we need to upgrade to IE11? or can we stay with IE10?

    2. what are concerns about storing email attachments outside of CRM?

    Hi,

I'd like to second all the above comments. Simply - when will Roll up 4 be available for the CRM 2013 Client?

You have said earlier that rollups are released approximately every 90 days, it is currently (Jan 2016)  about 240 days since RollUp 3 was released in April 2015. We should be waiting for Rollup 6!!

I do appreciate that these things need to be tested and verified, however, as you said the Dynamics CRM team have been working with the Edge team, and Windows 10, in one form or another, has been available for well over a year.

At this point a firm indication of a likely release date would be helpful as currently our Windows 10 rollout is stalled simply because of the incompatibility of the CRM 2013 client. Which is inconvenient - and various management teams are starting to question the viability of CRM 2013/2015 as a platform.

    Regards,

Aaron, thanks for this blogpost. You wrote, that there will be an UR4 for CRM2013 SP1. That was in July 2015. Now we have January 2016 and there's no UR4 for SP1. Do you have any clou, when this UR4 will come?

    Cheers
