I am using CRM 4.0.I am facing an issue where the user has been migrated to a new domain(domain2) in crm and is no longer in domain1 in crm. However the user logs on to the same machine using his domain1 credentials to log onto crm by changing its IE settings. When he exports to excel the dynamic pivot table the user gets no data in it as the excel opens in machine in domain1 and the user is not present in domain1 in crm but domain2. The issue resolves and he gets data in it when the machine is also migrated to domain2. It is not possible to migrate all the machines and the pivot table is the most important feature. All the users will be migrated to domain2 in crm. Please help

    RE: Domain Migration in CRM

I think i have more or less similar issue. some questions i have

    a) Where does your CRM configured to ? AD Domain

    b) Is DOMAIN1\UserA is able to access CRM (what domain). Is he added to CRM as a User and a Role been assigned?

    c) IS DOMAIN2\UserA is able to access CRM(what domain). Is he add to CRM as a User and a Role been assigned?

    d)  Is DOMAIN1 and DOMAIN2 are mutually trust? 1 or 2 way?

I am not sure on Users Machine domain relation to CRM. I remember accessing CRM from machine which in different domain with CRM configured domain user. Machine and CRM is in different AD domains...

    RE: Domain Migration in CRM

    Hi Bachchan,

As per my knowledge, The only solution is to reinstall the MS CRM into new server by configuring new domain.

Before doing it, make sure that you have taken backup of your config database.

Below MSDN article will help you.
