I have a workflow that populates the description of an opportunity (memo field) with a combination of multiple fields coming from other entities. Is there a way to do this without overwriting them. I want to concatenate the data instead.
Ex: Worklow steps = Update Opportunity description with value of Field1
Update Opportunity description with value of Field2
Update Opportunity description with value of Field3
Needed result = Opportunity description = Field1 + Field2 + Field3
CRM Workflow supports 'Append With' function/operator for text field
Hope this helps.
Thank you, this worked but It does not seem that I have any control over spacing. All of the fields just run together. Do you know if there is a way to add spaces or have the fields each start on the next line?
Yes you can, but I think better you use 'Enter', a new line or like this dash
Thanks for sharing! This is great to know!
