We are working on determining the technical implications of implementing the CRM application on mobile phones. Security is important to us. My understanding is we must configure our CRM deployment for IFD. Is it possible to setup this using multi-factor authentication? Are there other implications to consider? For example, will this affect CRM for Outlook?
Any supporting documentation or experiences you may have come across would be greatly appreciated.
UPDATE: Failed to mention we use on-premise CRM.

In 2015 they have also added multi-factor authentication to the Outlook for CRM so this is supported. The following video discusses it a bit:
