As i am facing issue while running CRM reports from SSRS tool. Main issue is that we are unable to fetch data from database to reporting server.
As we have checked are all connections plus our services are also up.
Then we tried to reset our Encryption key but we are facing following error as we do not have the password while restore the report.
Please help me on this issue. :)
Is this error are faced in the SSRS Configuration Manager. Generally I delete the encryption key and try again.
Yes, this issue is coming in SSRS, also we cannot delete the encryption key as we do not have backups of our reports.
The SSRS encryption key is used to encrypt credentials and connection string data, but not report definitions. Deleting the encryption key will not affect your reports.
You could also take a backup copy of the ReportServer SQL database before you delete the key, as this will contain all report definitions
True, but while taking the backup need to enter password and we do not have that. So taking backup of reports is not possible.
Is there any easy way to take a backup of reports?
You can enter any password here, because you are taking a backup of the SSRS configuration.
The password can be used later if you want to restore these backed-up configuration.
