If I create multiple Sales Orders and want to link them to a specific project, in which field should I enter the Project (Job) Number so that I can later search all Sales Orders associated with that particular project?
I have the same question (0)

    Hello,

The Job data are in the lines and should be entered there. Use the customize option to include them.

    I hope I can help.

    Hello,

You can't find job/project related fields on sales order subform because the standard design is only linking job/project module with invoice module and not order.

you see it on the table because sales invoice line is sharing the same table id.

Yi Yong is correct.  Adding those fields to a Sales Order will not help you.  The base logic is not there to form the connection.  Microsoft's design is to have all Project related billing come from the Project to a Sales Invoice.  For Project based billing you would be searching the Sales Invoices, not Sales Orders.

Also, from the Project you can see a list of all Sales Invoices associated with the Project.  Likewise, you could open the Sales Lines table and filter/sort by Project No., such as using the Analysis Mode to form a summarized view by Project.

    Best Regards,
