There seems to be no way to edit System Filters anymore in Synchronization Settings for Outlook or Exchange.
I have tried to turn off all unnecessary Sync. Fields/Directions for Contacts:
However, once I Test & Enable the Mailbox, some still come through.
I thought User Filters would work but that's only the personal account I found. Even using Xrmtoolbox there doesn't seem to be a way to edit the filters BEFORE turning on the ACT. What am I missing here??
How to stop Contacts syncing in ACT/Server-side Sync? **Experts
Microsoft has made some key changes in how Server-Side Synchronization (SSS) works in recent Dynamics 365 releases, and those changes have affected how System Filters for Outlook/Exchange synchronization can be managed.
For most organizations, Microsoft recommends:
Using custom sync filters at the user level instead of modifying system filters.
Keeping server-side sync directions consistent across the org.
Avoiding direct manipulation of System Filters post-2022 release wave updates.
