Business Central Freezes when searching on Item Lookup

When opening the Item Lookup, say from the Purchase Order lines. the Lookup opens fine, but as soon as I use the Search Function, the page freezes and I have to refresh the session to continue.

Using the filter pane causes the same issue.
 
No Custom Extensions ae installed, No Personalization on the Lookup Page, and tried a few browsers, all with the same issue.

Has anyone encountered this issue before and can provide assistance in solving this?

    It is a known issue and Microsoft is working on it.

    Hello,

    we are facing the issue described in the official Known Issue ID 6050312, where item lookup and item lists freeze or crash when using the "select from full list" search."

    This issue affects:


    • Our internal BC SaaS tenant, and More than 20 of our SaaS customers, all on version 27.3
    • There is no workaround, and the issue occurs during normal business operations (item search, document entry). This severely impacts day‑to‑day use and prevents our customers from working efficiently in BC. 

    •  

    Since this is a widespread SaaS platform problem and not customer-specific, we urgently request:


    1. A confirmed timeline for a fix / hotfix release
    2. Information whether a 27.3.x patch is planned
    3. Temporary mitigation guidance, if any exists internally
    4. Status updates, as all our customers depend on this functionality

    5.  

    Can we please update here if and when the issue is resolved?

    Workaround is to use "Advanced View" from the ellipsis on the Item Lookup page. This then brings up the Item List page.

    Any update on when this to be resolved and what patch?

    It was resolved with a platform update from Microsoft. 27.0.46208.0
