Users are unable to post Purchase Credit Memos. The posting process ("Validate" / Post) hangs indefinitely and never completes, requiring manual session termination. This is blocking all users from posting purchase credit memos in production.
Steps to reproduce:
- Open a Purchase Credit Memo
- Run Post / Post Preview
- The process shows Work in progress... indefinitely and never finishes
Diagnostics already performed:
- Checked Job Queue Entries – no relevant job is currently running/in-progress that could explain the lock.
- Cancelled all active interactive user sessions – issue persists.
- Captured a Performance Profiler trace during a Post Preview attempt. The trace shows approximately 5 minutes out of 5min12s total execution time spent in codeunit "Customer Deferrals Mngmt." (Subscription Billing app), even though this is a purchase (not sales) document.
All purchasing/AP users are currently blocked from posting purchase credit memos. This is preventing normal financial operations and needs urgent investigation.
