Hide Column in SSRS report based on Image Container Type Field Value

Hi,

I wanted to hide the whole table column in the SSRS report (that stores Container type image field), if the image container(store value as bit) is blank / null.

In the Image Visibility & column visibility , I've used : =IsNothing(Field.value) & =IIF(Isnothing(Fields!fieldname.value),True,False)

but, Nothng works.

Hi,

you may want to use the aggregation of values using count expression for the column of the tablix

=IIF(Count(Fields!fieldname.Value) = 0, True, False)

Hi,

Did you try by replacing the positions of True and False (in the expression/condition) to make sure if it is not a data issue?

To hide the column successfully, you must apply the expression to the Column Visibility property (accessible by right-clicking the gray column handle) rather than just the image visibility. Since "bit" fields often default to 0 rather than a true NULL, your IsNothing check is likely returning False. Instead, use the expression =IIF(Sum(Fields!fieldname.Value) > 0, False, True) to check if any row in that column contains data. This ensures the entire column collapses if no images are present across the dataset.
