Body: Hi everyone,
I need guidance on a receiving + label-printing scenario in D365 F&O (Advanced Warehouse Management). Scenario:
We receive items that are serial and batch-controlled.
During PO receipt using mobile device (Purchase Receive), we scan/enter all serial numbers (example: 100 serial numbers).
All quantities are received into one License Plate (LP).
After posting the receipt, D365 prints only one LP label, because one LP is created.
Business Requirement:
We need to print one serial number label per item (e.g., 100 serial barcode labels), even though all items are received under one LP. Current limitation:
Standard WHS label printing is LP-based and system is creating only one label for first serial number
It does not print labels per serial number unless we create separate LP for each serial — which is not practical for high quantity (e.g., 100 serials).
Label ID setup cannot generate serial or batch wise label records.
Question:
What is the best standard or recommended approach to achieve serial-wise label printing during PO receipt, without creating 100 separate License Plates?
