undo shipment after posting

Hi experts,
 
when we do undo shipment and done successfully.
 
suppose i do undo shipment to change the date . 
 
after doing new whse shipment and post in new date for transfer . 
 
after posting  then we will have the valuation date stay in old date , while the posting date will change .
 
what is your recommendation or advise for this case.

    thank you for answering Danny,
    No i am not using WHS Load.
     
     
    scenario is like this
    transfer order in 07/1/2025
    create whse shipment date 7/1/2025
    post shipment without post receiving and not invoiced yet.
    then we found that we need to undo shipment to change the date. 
     
    then we did this 
    reopen transfer
    change date from 7/1/2025 to 31/12/2024
    go to posted transfer shipment 
    undo shipment 
    recreate whse shipment on 31/12/2024
    post whse shipment 
    everything is perfect till now 
    item ledger entries now in posting date 31/12/2024
    but the valuation date in value entry is 7/1/2024
    here my question in last line why system took the old date in valuation date

    Hi,
    If you are using the WHS Load, you need to do the following:
     
     
    1) Cancel the Packign Slip (to reverse the posted packing slip, if not already invoiced))
     
    2) Reverse Shipment confirmation (to bring back the Load to a Loaded status and erase the Load shipped confirmation date)
     
    3) Confirm Outbound shipment (to update the Load shipped confirmation date with todays date)
     
    4) Generate Packing Slip (which will use the Load Shipped confirmation date in teh posting date; see below)
