We have a business requirement in Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management where a Finished Good (FG) needs to be converted back into its Raw Materials (RM).
Business Scenario:
A Finished Good has already been produced and is available in inventory.
Due to quality issues, rework, expiry, or customer returns, we need to dismantle the FG.
Questions:
Does Dynamics 365 SCM support a standard dismantling or disassembly process?
Is there any standard functionality to convert an FG back into its BOM components?
Can this be achieved using Production Orders, Batch Orders, Co-products/By-products, BOM Journals, or Inventory Movement Journals?
How can partial recovery and scrap be recorded?
Has anyone implemented a similar process in Process Manufacturing or Discrete Manufacturing?
