Looking for Efficient Alternatives to Scrap Journals

first time calle, first time listener. I am a low-level employee who has taken an interest in learning D365 when submitting IT tickets to help improve our processes. Eventually, I’d like to cut out the middleman and implement solutions myself, so bear with me.

..We currently scrap using journals we’ve dubbed ‘scrap journals,’ but the process is incredibly time-consuming when dealing with 50+ lines. I initially thought importing lists would be a good approach, but now we’re exploring ways to avoid using scrap journals entirely.

What would you recommend as a more efficient solution for scrapping inventory, especially for larger batches?

I have a bunch of questions, hope it's okay.

What kind of journals are you using. I assume it's adjustments?

Do you need to specify offset accounts when you scrap goods?

What is a batch? A real F&O batch, or a batch of items. Serialized items or warehouse items.

I'm leaning towards creating a counting journal, using the "Create lines" button, and use the bulk update (Edit selected rows) to adjust the count = 0.
