Is it possible to prevent automatic reservation in planning worksheet

Hi everybody!
 
I hope you are doing well!

Based on the sales order and replenishment system = Production and order policy = order, when I want to use planning worksheet, I have to change location from Finished Goods to Shop Floor. But it is not possible and I see this error: Reserved Qty. (Base) must be equal to '0' in Prod. Order Line: Status=Firm Planned
 
I have set reserve = Never in item card, but it is not working! (The only solution is reserve cancellation from the sales order lines) But I want to prevent auto reservation.
Is there any solution to solve it?

    The second method is a better option for me and it is working, properly.

    You have two options to resolve potentially two different issues.
     
    First, you mention having to change the Location from Finished Goods to Shop Floor.  This could be resolved by using Bins.  You have a main inventory Bin (Finished Goods in your case) and a Production Bin (Shop Floor in your case).  By using Bins, the demand and supply are within a single "Location", and the Item is stored in a specific spot within that Location.
     
    First (option 2), if you like having separate Locations, setup a Transfer policy from Shop Floor to Finished Goods.  The system will see the demand in Finished Goods, suggest a Transfer from Shop Floor (which will trigger a Prod. Order for Shop Floor).  Be sure to use Stockkeeping Units in a multi-Location environment.
     
    Second, the "Order" Reordering Policy always creates a Reservation, regardless of the Reserve setting on the Item/SKU.  You could switch to Lot-for-Lot with a blank Lot Accumulation Period, which will be as close to an Order policy as you can get without forcing a Reservation.  Lot-for-Lot still creates a Reservation, but it acts more like a soft allocation.
     
    Be sure to test any changes in a Sandbox first before you deploy changes (dev or data) in your Production Environment.
