    Hello,

You can always export them as Package to keep as backup.

While individual item records cannot be restored directly, you can restore the environment using a backup. If you have a backup of the environment before the items were deleted, restore this backup into a new sandbox environment.

if you delete records from the Items table (Table 27) in a sandbox environment using a configuration package with the "Delete Table Records Before Processing" option checked, those records are permanently deleted. There is no built-in way to recover the deleted items unless Backup Available.
    >You have a database backup that includes the deleted records, which can be restored.
    >If the items still exist in the environment (such as the production environment), you can export them before importing new item data. Later, when needed, you can import the items back into the sandbox environment using a Configuration Package. This way, you can ensure the items are backed up before making any changes.

You cannot restore only item records, but what you can try though, is restoring the environment from the backup into a new sandbox and copying the items from the new copy. Or just replace the sandbox with the backup.
