    Hi,

The standard data entities do not support your scenario. Indeed a customization is required. I haven't seen this requirement myself. I would suggest to create a new data entity where you try to combine the project expense journal entity and the assed journal entities. Then check if you want to support the account types project and fixed asset for the account, offset account, of both.

    Hi,

Actually I am trying to say that project expense journal is designed for Ledger and Project, so it should not be used for Fixed assets. To affect the fixed assets transactions, it should either go from Fixed assets journals, and specifically in case of projects, it should follow the elimination process to create a FA and reduce the project costs.

the purpose is to create lines from excel for the ledger ,i need to create line with project account type ,ledger and fixed asset ,creating all these types from excel addin

i have seen that using project expense journal excel addin, we can create lines for the ledger with account type ledger and project

i need to add fixed asset line creational functionality in that excel addin

    Hi,

Please elaborate the business requirement behind this customization..

What project type you are referring here?.. As in Investment project and fixed price project, you can use elimination process to transfer the balances to Fixed assets..

Need to understand the rational behind adding an account type in Project expenses journal.. Purpose of expenses journal is different and if you try to add new account type.. Don't know where and all will have impact. Honestly saying, I am listening to this kind of customization for first time.

    Regards,
    Neeraj Kumar
