I have a requirement wherein the user has the role of
accounts receivable manager
accounts clerk.
The user can see the customer payment journal but cannot create it ,(Accounts receivable - > Payments Customer payment journal) so which privilege I should add to existing role .
I added the LedgerJournalTable_CustPaymNew but it did not gave the user the rights to create the journal.
2) why do companies duplicate the standard roles and then add the new previliges and not extending the standard role with new duties.
I tried extending accounts receivable manager role it started showing me AOT name instead of label.

What is the corerct approach as I think Microsoft keeps on updating the roles as well.
