"Hello!

So how do I do that?

I tried using the toggle button at the header "Exclude from master planning" but it doesn't seem to work.

Am I missing anything?
I have the same question (0)

    Hi,

there are two prerequisites two use this feature:

    - Planning optimization has to be enabled
    - In the master plan setup, the "Exclude specific transactions" parameter has to be set to YES

Please verify these two settings are enabled in your environment.

    Hi,

If the "Exclude from master planning" toggle at the sales order header isn't working as expected, that's because this setting only applies under certain configurations and doesn’t override line-level inclusion.

    Here’s what to check:

    Line-level setting takes precedence

Go to each sales order line, then in the Line details > Sourcing tab, check the “Include in master planning” field.

Set this to No for each line you want to exclude.

Make sure the Master Plan being run includes only relevant demand types

Some plans might still pick up excluded lines depending on the setup of your master plan parameters.

Ensure planning is not pulling historic or firmed demand

Even excluded lines can appear in certain views if they’ve already been included in past planning runs and not cleared. If it's still showing up in planned orders after the above checks, try re-generating the plan after setting the line exclusion — and let us know if you're using any customizations or ISV solutions that might override standard behavior.

    Warm Regards,

    Zain

The Exclude from master planning option excludes the item from all master planning runs. It is not designed to exclude an item from only the monthly forecast plan while still including it in the daily DDMRP run.

If you need the item to participate in DDMRP but not in forecast planning, there is no standard configuration to achieve this selectively. The recommended approach is to use separate master plans with different item selection criteria (where possible). Otherwise, excluding only DDMRP items from the forecast plan would require a customization or extension.
