Customer Insights Data - System refresh stuck at Data Source import in Refreshing status

Hi everyone,

I’m experiencing a critical issue with a Customer Insights (Data) production environment where the system refresh is completely stuck at the Data Source import stage.

The system refresh starts correctly, but the Data Source import step never completes, All data sources remain indefinitely in “Refreshing” state and as a result, the Unify process never starts, making the environment unusable.

 


This is not related to a specific data source or query. The same environment was working correctly for weeks. I retried multiple manual refreshes at different times (single data source refresh and full system refresh) and every attempt remains stuck in Refreshing with no completion and no clear error.

The same environment was working correctly for weeks. In the last few days, refresh jobs started getting stuck. 

It looks like the system refresh / import pipeline is blocked or congested, maybe due to queued or stuck refresh jobs, throttling or internal locks, environment-level orchestration issues.

Has anyone experienced a Customer Insights environment where all imports stay in “Refreshing” state? 

Is there a way to clean up/reset pending refresh jobs or force-unblock the system refresh?

Can Microsoft support trigger a controlled full refresh or reset the import pipeline at environment level?

Any guidance or similar experiences would be greatly appreciated, as the production environment is currently blocked.
