I am currently facing an issue in Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations related to Purchase Orders with Budget Control enabled.
When attempting to delete a Purchase Order line, I receive the following error message:
"Cancel and finalize the purchase order line. PO lines cannot be deleted when budget control is enabled."
Please note the following:
- The Purchase Order is in Draft status (not Confirmed)
- The PO line has not been received
- The PO line has not been invoiced
Despite this, the system is preventing me from deleting the PO line.
Could you please advise on:
- Why deletion is blocked even though the PO is still in Draft status
- Whether this is expected system behavior or a potential issue
This issue is currently impacting our ability to modify Purchase Orders, so your urgent assistance would be highly appreciated.
