Considering a switch: Dynamics 365 Versus Oracle Netsuite?

Hello,

My business has been using Oracle Netsuite for two years. We are finally getting our processes solidified with their software, but Oracle and the Netsuite team are insufferable and I'd like to seriously consider a switch before our next renewal in 18 months.  If it was possible to implement a new system before that date, it would allow us to transition easily and smoothly, unlike the implementation of Netsuite.  Anyone in the food and beverage or manufacturing space with experience using Dynamics 365? Or anyone who has moved between these two products have any insight?

Considering a switch: Dynamics 365 Versus Oracle Netsuite?
To transition smoothly from Oracle Netsuite to a new system like Dynamics 365 before your next renewal, it's essential to begin the evaluation and planning process early. Start by gathering feedback from companies in the food and beverage or manufacturing sectors who have experience with Dynamics 365 to understand its fit for your needs. Collaborate with an experienced implementation partner who can assess your current processes and help with a seamless migration plan. Ensure data integrity and a well-structured training program for your team to minimize disruptions. By proactively planning and working with experts, you can ensure a smoother transition compared to your Netsuite implementation.

Considering a switch: Dynamics 365 Versus Oracle Netsuite?
A lot of companies that work directly with NetSuite have complaints about the quality of the implementation and support but the product itself is solid. There are a lot of NetSuite partners that have much better support and implementation services than NetSuite themselves. The problem with going directly with NetSuite is they offshore a lot of their services to the Philippines and they are more interested in selling the software then actually helping businesses. Switching to a new ERP altogether will be time consuming and expensive, so it might be better to just get some better support from a good NetSuite partner.

If you do want to switch, Dynamics 365 is a solid option. Dynamics 365 actually has two different ERP options.  One is Business Central which is geared towards small to medium size businesses and Finance & Operations which is geared towards larger, more enterprise level organizations. Business Central is a lot less expensive than NetSuite, however, there could be some features and functions that you are using in NetSuite that might have to be a customization or a third-party add-on in Business Central. Finance & Operations has all the features and functions but it's really expensive and a long implementation cycle.

My recommendation would be to find a partner that works with both NetSuite and Dynamics 365 and get their assessment on if you're NetSuite implementation is worth salvaging or if you're better off switching to a different product.  Rand Group has a good blog comparing the differences between NetSuite and D365 Business Central. There is also a white paper on the same page that you can download that has good information.

You can use Skyvia Data Integration to connect Netsuite and Dynamics. it is a no-code freemium platform.
