Customer & Vendor approval workflows in BC - not blocked - why exist

What is the point of having a customer or vendor approval workflow in business central if a user  can still create documents or transactions anyway regardless of whether the vendor/customer is approved or not. Surely the minimum should be that the vendor/customer is set to blocked as soon as such a workflow is switched on?

    I usually recommend that this is handled through permissions where users are restricted from what they can create. Only a small few users should be given customer creation access. Then there should be approval workflows on Sales Invoices/Orders as well.
