How to prioritise the batch jobs to be executed first

Dear team,

I had internal discuss with team, and they required to "prioritise the batch jobs to be executed first".

I have not provided the batch jobs name here because they haven't shared with me.

Just assumed we have batch5, batch8, batch10

I like to prioritise the batch 10 should be executed first, then batch 5 and finally batch 8.

How I can achieve this?

Is it through Recurrence settings?

Kindly advise please.

Thanks in advance.

Batches are executed on schedule, therefore you can, for example, schedule batch 10 to execute at 7 am and batch 5 at 8 am.

F&O includes Priority-based batch scheduling, but that's about resource allocation, not the planned schedule.

    Thanks Arvind for the response.

I go through the shared docs .

    What I understood,

I have to create a THREE Batch groups and the Scheduling priority set to "Reserved" for the high priority batch and asinged the Batch 10 to the batch server.

Like this for another batch group set to "Medium" for Batch 5 and "Low" for Batch 8 as well.

    Am I correct?

    Kindly advise please.

It won't meet the business requirement. The batches will still execute according to their schedule, and even if they execute at the same time, the resource allocation priority doesn't guarantee any order. If there are enough threads, all the batches will execute and the some time, which also violates your requirements.

Please let me know the accurate mapping to achieve this.

Kindly guide me based on my above example.
