Best way to handle the disposal and sale of a Fixed Asset

 We have an entity in Mexico that wants to scrap a Fixed Asset (vehicle) and show the sale and VAT as part of the scrap process. 
Can you advise the best way to do the asset journal that gets created includes the AR and VAT accounting. Thanks

    You can dispose of a fixed asset by creating a free text invoice and applying the relevant tax.

    Hello,

    Could you please provide an example of the expected voucher for the account's disposal?
    Scrap and sales are two alternative disposal methods.

    With scrap, the fixed asset has a value of 0, so how should we handle the VAT transaction (the tax calculation base = 0)?
    Sales is different: there is a sales value agreed in the contract with the customer, and VAT is calculated on that value.

    When you scrap a fixed asset with zero value, no voucher will be generated because the journal created with a zero-amount.
     
    Zero-amount postings are only considered valid in the fixed asset journal to process the fixed assets with zero NBV.

    In your case, as @Giorgio Bonacorsi mentioned, there is no financial basis for posting.
