Delayed effect of security roles changes

Hi All,
 

I created custom roles in D365 F&O based on the role matrix provided by the client and assigned them to the users. I am now managing feedback regarding these access rights, but I’m encountering an issue.

When I update the concerned role, it takes a long time for the changes to be reflected for the user. However, when I test with my second test account in the same environment and with the same role, the update is applied immediately.

I would like to know whether this issue is related to the environment or to the user, and if there is anything that needs to be done on my side.

    When you assigned the roles to the users, did you ask them to sign out and then sign in again? Also ask them to try to reset usage data if they still don't see the change.

    Therefore, even if you update the role on the backend, the old user is still using the session or token containing the old permission information. Conversely, the second test account may have logged in after the role was updated and therefore received msn games the new permissions immediately.

    Hi,

    Waed is correctly suggesting for logging out and in again. I do assume when you say that it takes a lot of time, that the user now has access? Otherwise, it might be due to a combination of roles.
