Automating customer bank account on a customer record

(5) ShareShare

Hello,

I'm using Power Automate to create new customers and add their bank details in F&O.

I'm able to create the customer using the CustomersV3 entity

And their bank account using the CustomerBankAccounts entity

Once the bank account is created, I want to set it as the default bank account on the customer payment defaults

However, that specific field (mserp_paymentbankaccount) is read only

How can I automate population of the newly created bank account into that field?

Thanks,
Michael

After checking, I can confirm that the “BankAccount” field cannot be modified in the “CustCustomerV3Entity” entity.

I suggest you use this entity since the field is editable.

    CustCustomerDetailV2Entity - Customer details V2

    Best regards,

@Mohamed Amine Mahmoudi I enabled that virtual entity

But still seem to be facing the same problem

    Hello,

The PAYMENTBANKACCOUNT field in Customers V3 can be edited.

The process involves importing the Bank ID into Customers V3.PAYMENTBANKACCOUNT after importing the CustomerBankAccounts.
If that doesn't work, try checking whether any restrictions are configured in the client's master data.

    Thank you,
    Giorgio

    I said CustCustomerDetailV2Entity not CustCustomerV2Entity !

@Giorgio Bonacorsi Thanks, I've checked the parameters and they look okay

As for the process, I'm fairly sure that's what I've done

My customer gets created, the bank account gets created, then I attempt to add the newly created bank account to the field you mentioned, but it doesn't show up in Power Automate as a field within Customers V3, further suggesting that it is read only.

I can however, select the record and update it manually from within F&O

So I'm not really sure why I can't do it within the flow.

    Thanks,
    Michael

@Mohamed Amine Mahmoudi These are the "custcustomer" entities that are available to me, I don't seem to be able to find the one you're referring to

    Hi Michael,

I checked all data entities for the customers. The detail entities are not enabled to be used public, meaning that they are not available for e.g. OData or Virtual tables in Dataverse. All other entities are either read-only or have this field locked for editing.

You can consider a customization by either extending the current data entity or create a new one.

After checking, I suggest you make some customizations since all entities are read-only.
