Custom filed mapping when qualifying a lead into a contact

Hi all,

I am looking to amend which fields are pulled to a contact record when qualifying from a lead. Essentially, I have added two custom fields, one called 'Registration Number' and one called 'Registering Body'. These exist on both the Leads and Contacts entity. When I qualify a lead into a contact and account, I would like the information stored in those fields to map to the corresponding ones in the new contact record. At the moment they do not and I can't seem to find an answer.

Custom filed mapping when qualifying a lead into a contact

Hello,

You need to map the field you created in the Lead table to the fields that you want on Contact table.

You need to use the classic interface to do this.

Create or edit field mapping

Open solution explorer.

Under Components, expand Entities, and then expand the entity you want.

Select either 1:N Relationships or N:1 Relationships.

In the main pane, in the Type list, select Mappable.

Select a mappable relationship. Then, on the Actions toolbar, select Actions, and then select Edit.

Under Related, select Mappings.

For each new mapping, on the Actions toolbar, select New.

In the Create Field Mapping dialog box, select the source field from Source Entity Fields. Select the target field from Target Entity Fields.
