Dear,

We are currently implementing a BI plaform (Azure).

We are stuck with logic/rule on how the Opening and Closing Inventory   Stock qty is calculated on D365 (Inventory value report).

Anybody can please guide on how we calculate same and what are the tables involved?

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi,

The tables involved are InventSum and InventTrans. The InventSum has an actual stock quantity. Using InventTrans you can sum quantities for a specific period and/or check for the quantities changed after your reporting period and deduct from the InventSum.
If you need to specify storage dimensions, you will need to join these two tables with the InventDim table which is having the specification for all inventory dimensions referenced on the transactions and the sum table.

    Hello @KP-08101030-0

To take the stock quantity you can use Qty field of InventTrans.
