Variable Allocation with Statistical Account returns 0.00 when using Shortcut Dimension 3 filter

I am testing a Variable Allocation Account using a Statistical Account as the breakdown account.

Dimension setup:

Global Dimension 1 = DEPARTMENT
Global Dimension 2 = STATE
Shortcut Dimension 3 = ENTITY

I posted valid Statistical Account entries against ENTITY values COMP A, COMP B, and COMP C. In the Variable Allocation setup, I applied these ENTITY values under Breakdown Account Balance Filters.

However, the Allocation Preview returns Breakdown Account Balance = 0.00 for all lines. I tested both Period and Balance at Date with the same result.

As a control test, using DEPARTMENT (Global Dimension 1) works correctly and retrieves the statistical balances.

Question:
Is this expected behavior for Statistical Account-based Variable Allocation when using Shortcut Dimension 3, or should Shortcut Dimensions 3–8 work in Breakdown Account Balance Filters? Is any additional setup required?
