Subscription billing preview feature for Project fee jorunals

We are trying to set up the preview feature Enable project fee journals to support subscription billing and with this we can create billing schedules with categories rather than items. Now the issue here is that we can no longer use the Unbilled revenue function and I was wondering if someone has experience with this so you can share tips on setup or something we are missing. Thank you
