Conditional Email Destinations in Print Management: How to set a "Fallback" Purpose?

Dear community,

In D365 F&O, I am sending Collection Letters via Electronic Reporting. I need to implement a conditional recipient logic:

  1. Priority 1: Send to contacts with purpose "Reminder".

  2. Priority 2 (Fallback): If no "Reminder" contact exists, send to the "Invoice" purpose.

Standard Print Management sends to all selected purposes simultaneously. Is there a way to handle this priority logic via ER Formulas or Destinations without custom X++?

Has anyone successfully used a Formula in the ER Destination to filter contact purposes dynamically?

Thank you in advance,

Rafaela

    Hi Rafaela,

This is achievable using logic in Electronic reporting itself.

Instead of selecting the purpose directly, you can pick the value (email) of specific purpose through ER and in case it is coming blank , please default email or some other purpose as the case may be.

So, the main idea is instead using Print management email, use configuration email.
