Consistency Error While Posting Sales Order

Hi Everyone,

I am getting the following error while posting sales order.

The Transaction cannot be completed because it will cause inconsistencies in the G/L entry table . Check where and how the CONSISTENT function is used in the transaction to find the reason for the error.

Contact your system administrator
Tables can be marked as inconsistent during comprehensive tasks,
such as posting . This prevents data from being updated incorrectly

Can anyone tell me how can I cater this. Also I have no custom extensions installed on the environment.
I have the same question (0)

Is is when posting one specific sales order, and happening 100% of the time?

If you search this community forum you will find similar threads. Though not related to posting a sales order, there is as similar post here. Another one here. As well as here.

Yes Greg this is happening only for one specific order and all the time.

If you poke around the threads on here, you will see that typically scenarios come into play that involve customizations (although you already said your case doesn't include any), decimal rounding, 100% discounting, etc. I'd suggest looking into some of those. In a sandbox environment a developer should be able to debug the situation too. Where using VS Code the exact situation should become apparent.

The very first question I will ask is - Is there any customization done ?
If yes then just try uninstalling that extension and then see the behavior.

    Hello ,

this error means Business Central detected inconsistent or partially written G/L data (often caused by an interrupted or failed posting, session timeout, or overlapping posting/job queue activity), so it blocks posting to protect the ledger — this can happen even with no custom extensions. First try logging out all users, stopping Job Queue, restarting the environment, and posting again; if only one Sales Order fails, delete and recreate it. If all sales orders fail, the environment likely has a ledger inconsistency that only Microsoft support can clear in SaaS.

I agree with RockwithNav; this is clearly a problem caused by customization.
I suggest you uninstall the third-party application first, then recreate the SO file to see if the problem persists.

If you are a developer, please debug this; it's likely a data issue caused by customization.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

    Check your customization.

Also do the preview posting and check the G/L impact, check if the total of all G/L Amounts becomes 0. If not identify which entry is wrong. That is your cue to identify what is wrong and you can take it from there.

    Regards,
    Dhiren.
