Assuming that i have a newly provisioned unified developer environment (with Fin&Ops and developer tools enabled), what should i do to refresh its database from either sandbox or production database in admin.powerplatform?

Hello, you need to open the source environment. From there, you can click on "Copy" to transfer it to the target environment. Otherwise, here is the Microsoft documentation on copying Power Platform environments which also applies to D365 Finance environments. : Copy an environment - Power Platform | Microsoft Learn

Hi,

Note that the environment copy is not only copying the database. It includes the whole application. After such copy you might need to install some ISV solutions which are not in production yet. You would also need to redeploy the customizations to the online environmnent.

In case the development environment was on a higher version that production, you would also need to update the base application.
