Hi Experts,

I have two questions. First, I want to import an AxDB (.bacpac) file into the UAT environment. I understand that the file needs to be uploaded under Database backup in the Asset Library in LCS, but I’m not sure which backup type is appropriate. Based on my understanding, the Product database option seems to be the correct choice for uploading a .bacpac file. Please advise which backup type should be selected.

Second, I believe that only a .bacpac file of up to 30 GB or a .bak file of 14.3 GB can be uploaded. If we need to upload a database larger than these limits, then a support ticket must be raised to Microsoft to temporarily increase the size limit.

Please note that, In this case we need to upload the database from the cloud-hosted development environment to the UAT environment.

Hi,

1) you can directly go on a sandbox( on LCS) and choose Maintain >> Move Database >> Refresh Database

Choose any source (could be production system, or any other systems, excluding CH Devs)

You do not need to save the backup file anywhere to refresh the database.

2) The limit is 50 GB

Actually, in my case we need to upload the database from the cloud-hosted development environment to the UAT environment.

Hi,

Yes, in such cases, you may need to place the database on the LCS Asset Library, where you will meet the limit of 14.3 GB for the file size

I have always used Product Database( SQL server .bak). It didn't give me any issues ever.
