Hello everyone,
I am receiving a Sales Order number (SalesID) from my inbound service in Dynamics AX 2012, and I am updating a field in the SalesTable.
SalesTable
I would like to run the SalesOrderLetter MorphX (classic) report, (non SSRS Report) using this SalesID as a parameter, and then email the report results.
I know how to send emails using SysMailer, but I am not sure how to programmatically run a normal (non-SSRS) report for a specific SalesID and generate the output so that it can be attached to an email.
SysMailer
Has anyone implemented something similar in AX 2012? Any guidance or code examples would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
Thank you, Martin and Sohaib.
Yes, I am aware that MorphX reports are now old and deprecated. In my scenario, however, I only have the classic SalesOrderLetter MorphX report, and I need to use it. My goal is to programmatically run this report for a given SalesID and generate the output (PDF or Word) so that it can be sent via email.
If you or the community have experience with this, or if you have any similar approaches, sharing example code or guidance would be very helpful.
