It’s usually because the account is still saved somewhere in your profile or cached credentials.
What’s worked for me in similar cases:

First, remove the account completely from Settings -> Accounts -> Email & accounts in Windows or from File -> Account Settings inside Outlook.
Then, clear saved credentials in Windows Credential Manager (look for entries with Outlook or your old email domain).

If it’s a company laptop or you once had the account tied to Azure AD, check Access work or school under Windows settings and disconnect it there, too.

Once all traces of that account are gone, the sign-in prompts should stop. If you’ve already done all this and it’s still nagging, it might be an autodiscover entry in your profile, removing and recreating your Outlook profile can usually take care of that.

Not the solution… @SamikK thanks! I found a forgotten location that I have since removed it from…

unfortunately I am still being nagged to sign in and have no idea how to recreate my profile…

I used to have intelligent hub for this company but I have removed it.

    Hi there 👋

    Thanks for your question!

To stop receiving sign-in prompts for a work Exchange account you no longer use, try the following steps:

Remove the account from your device settings:

    • On Windows, go to Settings > Accounts > Email & accounts, and remove the old work account.
    • On mobile devices, remove the account from your email app or system settings.

     Clear cached credentials:

    • Open Credential Manager (Windows) and remove any saved credentials related to the old Exchange account.

     Check Outlook profile settings:

    • If you're using Outlook, go to File > Account Settings > Account Settings, and remove the Exchange account from the list.

     Azure AD / Microsoft 365:

    • If the account is still linked to your Microsoft 365 profile, ask your admin to remove it or revoke access.

These steps should help stop the prompts from appearing.
