I'm working with a client who is witnessing a strange issue in AX 2012 R2. They are using Application version 6.2.1000.4051. We access their AX environment through a remote desktop connection through a Windows web client.
When users are working in the system, their screen will randomly turn red/pink, then freeze (screenshot is attached). They're then forced to exit and restart. This is only happening to a handful of users in the environment.
Has anyone seen this type of issue before, or have any recommendations on potential fixes?
What I've tried:
Resetting usage data
Clearing user cache
Hardware checks
Sign out + sign back into web client
(Restarted AX after each of those and had the user sign out + sign in again)
I have never seen this behavior before with the AX2012 client. Note that this product is no longer supported by Microsoft. It is recommended that you consider an upgrade to Dynamics 365.
Back to your issue. Have you monitored the system resources on both the PC and the desktop service servers? Is there probably some shortage on system resources? E.g. memory consumption, disc load, CPU usage?
