ISV solution string that are not labels

Hello,

I'm developing ISV solution that I'd like to publish to MS App Source. I have some string constants which cause BP rule violation because they are not labels. These string constants will not be shown to UI and don't have to be tranlated to different languages later because I use them only to check the file format in my code at runtime. Because of that I don't see any sense to create them as labels, but BP rule check is complaining about them. Because I'm gonna publish it to MS App Source can I leave these BP rules violations and don't put attention to them? WIll MS accept it like that? Sorry I never created an ISV solution before.

What does the BP rule says? What if you use single quotations instead of double ones?

Hi Dark Knight.

As Martin mentioned, static text can be managed with single quotes. In case of file extensions, indeed, you don't need a label (with double quotes). I usually put them in a constants class. Have a look at e.g. DMFConstants for an example.

Many thanks. I'll create a separate class for all my constants. Perfect approach.
