Free freight line in business central

Hi

If a order meets some requirements, and we would like to set the freight to 0 price, what should be the correct way to do it, since a line item needs a price >0 ?

We have discussed using a discount, but we would like to hear what our opinions are

    There is a prerequisite that the total order amount can be posted as long as it is not a negative number.
    So there is no problem with the amount being 0.
     
    In addition, the correct way to handle freight is Item Charge. It does not directly modify the unit price of the line, which will cause inaccurate profits.

    If you’re using items or G/L accounts on documents, you have two options: you can either enter a price of 0 or use the regular price and apply a 100% discount. Both options work, so it’s up to you to decide based on how you want the information to appear or what is easier for reporting.  
     
    However, if you’re using item charges for freight, you cannot set a price of 0 or apply a 100% discount. You could consider setting a price of 1 cent as a workaround. Alternatively, a better option might be to use a G/L account or an item for freight instead of item charges. This works as the line is only there as a reminder that the freight is free, without actually posting anything.
