Dynamics 365 Customer Insights - Journeys forms ignoring configured lookup display attribute

Has anyone else seen Real Time Customer Journey forms suddenly switch which lookup column they display?

We have a Country lookup field on both Contacts and Leads. In our RTCJ forms:

  • the lookup data is marked as publicly available
  • the filter is set correctly (Active Countries)
  • the display attribute is set to Country Name

This configuration has been stable and working for about a year.

Sometime last week, all active forms started displaying the 2-character ISO code instead of the Country Name field. Nothing was changed on our side:

  • forms were not edited or republished
  • the Country table/schema was not changed
  • permissions/security roles were not changed
  • lookup configuration still points to Country Name

The forms are still functional, but the displayed values are now things like CA, US, etc. instead of the full country names.

Has anyone else run into this recently? Wondering if this may be tied to a platform update or a change in how RTCJ forms resolve lookup display columns.

Any insight appreciated.

    Hi,

This looks like a platform-level change from a
recent D365 update rather than anything on your
    side.

    Two things worth checking:

    1. Go to the form → lookup field settings →
confirm display attribute is still pointing to
Country Name. Recent updates have been known to
    silently reset this.

    2. Do a forced republish of the form — this
    re-resolves the display attribute correctly
    after a platform update.

If neither works, raise a support ticket — since
multiple active forms were affected simultaneously
without any changes on your side, this points to
    a platform regression.

    Hope this helps!
