Tier 1 DEV environment in D365F&O

Dear team,
 
As I saw in the Dev box (VM), we have browser, AOS, SQL database.
 
If we think architecture wise then it's comes like
Client
AOS
Database
 
My questions is , can I say like Client is tier1, AOS is tier2, Database is Tier3.
 
If not then how will explain it those.
 
Kindly advise pls.

    Yes, you can say that.
     
    For reference, we already talked about it in Server keyword in D365F&O. There I also pointed to the mistake of mixing different meanings of "tier", namely these layers of the application and performance/pricing tiers of F&O environments.

    I monitored your other question and I think you didn't add anything new in this question. I concur with Martin that you are mixing terminology. 
    The tiers as I know are related to the resources available in an environment that influences the performance. This is related to sizing.
     
    When talking about client, AOS, and database, I call them components used in the architecture of the environments.
