Is E-Document for Germany 28.3 compatible with E-Document Core 28.4, or is a matching 28.4 release of the Germany app required/pending? If the latter, please advise on timeline or interim workaround.

A matching Germany E-Document 28.4 app is not normally required just because E-Document Core is 28.4; Microsoft states that an AL dependency version is the minimum required version, so an app depending on 28.3 can use a later compatible dependency such as 28.4. Also, Microsoft’s BC 28.4 release notes explicitly show “No localization updates,” so there is currently no documented pending German 28.4 localization release. The screenshot instead points to a configuration/mapping problem: BC cannot find an active E-Document Mapping for ZUGFERD-DE with Used = Yes. I would therefore check/recreate the ZUGFeRD E-Document Service and its export mapping/setup rather than wait for another Germany app version; if the mapping is correctly configured and the error started only after the 28.4 update, raise a Microsoft support ticket as a possible regression.
