Please advise what difference of fields in placeholder in the mail notification

In the workflow engine, it allows me to select fields for inserting placeholder in the mail notifcation
 
May i know what difference of %invoice amount% and %purchase total amount in transaction%"?
 
If the PO net amount is USD 8000, what the result is?
Also, how to field mapping with purchase order headers v2?

    The purchase total amount is in the currency of the purchase order where the invoice amount is converted to the company accounting currency.
