Hello,
My organisation ships internationally and needs to be able to identify which of our products contain Hazardous Materials. This is fairly simple in D365 FO as there is a configurable section for this data. However, some of our products contain alkaline batteries and these are not considered as Hazardous Materials, but if they are to be shipped via air then they need to be notified to the carrier so that they don't need to open the shipment to check the type. This notification is called a 'special provision' and in this specific case is given a code of A123.
What I am struggling to do is record this 'special provision' against products that require it.
I have tried adding the A123 code into the Haz Mat config for the IATA registration type, but this fails when the product also has a genuine IATA code (UN....) applicable since only one classification can be assigned to a registration type.
Has anyone else encountered this problem and if so, how did you configure your system to account for it?
Thanks,
Mike
