I received a demand from the Finance Team is it was possible to create Parent/Child main account where there Parent will show the sum of all the child associates to it in the Trial balance?
I create a Main account with type "Total" and added the child but I don't see it when running the trial balance.
Is there another way to I can set up this relationship between main accounts.
to my knowledge you cannot show the Total accounts on the Trial Balance, one workaround you can do is using the Main account categries (if you do not use them for other purposes) that will let you categorize the main accounts:
By sing this option you can then show them on the Trial balance:
And then group by them in the Trial Balance to obtain subtotal (you will lose them when exporting in Excel):
Total accounts can be referenced in Financial reports done through Management Reporter.
