Dear team,

As I know, create alert rule features we can used for business events without create a custom business events and we can setup Power automate flow accordingly.
And the entity need to enables virtual table in Dataverse

Here I have query...

I have a custom table and form. As per the business requirements, if any CRUD operation happened in the custom table , we need to send the notification to the external system.
I have already created custom entity.

Can I used "Create Alert rule" for the custom table?
Can I enable "Virtual tables" in custom entity in Dataverse.

Please give me the thoughts. thanks!

    Thanks Amine for the response.

    I have one more query,

If suppose , I need to write complex business Logic to perform in Business events with Power automate.

Is it possible to achieve with "Create Alert rule" functionality? Or we should go with to implement classes for custom business events for the same.

    Please give the thoughts. thanks!

    Hi,

What exactly do you mean by "If suppose, I need to write complex business Logic in Business events."?

For using the alert function, you don't need to write additional X++ logic. The alert framework and custom tables is supported by the business events.

In case you want to use your table as virtual table in Power Automate, you need to develop a data entity and set the property Public to Yes. In a development environment, a full build, deployment of the coding, and a database sync is required to have the table visible as available entity.
Like any other data entity, you can enable the entity which will then create the virtual table in Dataverse.

Very simple, I am asking other than CRUD operation in business events, can I use creat alert rule? Or it is only applicable for CRUD operation.
