So howcome Dynamics Sales wont offer out of the box basic fuctions, cant make legally valid quotes and cant even add item variants etc?
Account, Contact and Address copying to next entity e.g. From Opportunity to Quote from Quote to Order
When making quotes there is no option to use item variants, when using BC integration and using Sales - how sales person can quote customer with correct variant and see availability?
And Basic thing - in Sales country is like "United States" in Business Central its "US" - due cant speak "same language" sync fails.
...not going to speak about missing taxes - in EU if making quote, without taxes can end up paying vat from own pocket as by law - customer must see final amount. Even if you state "no vat included" - legally cant change price and add VAT - especially for government bids. Isnt that nonsense while MS tries hard to push AI what makes you random text out of nothing and has litterally no value?
 
I understand it can be all developed etc. but being honest - every developer does it in their own way, often once done - thing collapses duse just "hardcoded".
How hard it is to make basic thing work out of the box?

    Dynamics 365 Sales is not a full ERP, so out of box it won’t handle item variants, inventory availability, EU‑legal VAT pricing, or compatible country codes the same way Business Central does. These two speak different languages so syncing often fails unless you add mapping, variant‑level products, tax calculation via BC, and ISO country codes. These gaps are not bugs they are missing ERP features in Sales. To make quoting work properly, you must use BC as the source of truth for variants, taxes, availability and codes and let Sales just handle the front‑end quote creation.
