Journeys - Internal notification emails

Is there a way to create and send internal notification emails similar to HubSpot or Marketo (see screenshots) without using Power Automate? The lead/contact entity is created or updated in CIJ. Hence, all the data needed is in CIJ, so it seems a little redundant to use Power Automate (another tool) and set it all up there, rather than just creating an internal notification email template with personalisation and adding it to a journey as a step.

I find it odd that this feature isn't already available in Journeys, or am I overlooking something?

The only way to do this was to trigger a journey that works as an Internal Notification Workflow.

Cheers!

    Hello,

We can tag users on timeline, I think that can help you on what you need.
    • In Notes or Posts (Timeline): You can use the @mention feature in the Activity Timeline or in Yammer integration. Typing @username will notify that user.

What I'm looking to create is send an internal email to a dedicated department once a "Contact Us" request has been submitted.

Ideally, I'd like the email to contain details of the lead or contact person and information of the page it was received on (for context). How I would like the information to be added to the email is via personalization tokens.

You're suggestion is OK, but the issue that I have is that it means that I designate a form to be global and have it sitting on various page on a site.

The only way that I could think was to create a transactional email to be sent internally.

    Any suggestions are welcomed!

    Cheers!

@Jimmy Passeti - Thanks for your help and knowledge on this issue.

The solution you mentioned above isn't exactly what I'm looking for; I'm looking for something more automated.

Do you know of any other workarounds or anything I can do (without the need for Power Automate) that can notify someone internally when a specific form is filled out? Ideally, I'd like the person to receive internal information about the request as well.

    Cheers!

Traditional CRM Workflows include the ability to send emails, provided you have set up the email router and mailbox for your Admin user as needed. This can then be triggered based off a record creation or field change on a CRM table.

Functionally it is the same as a Cloud Flow, but it is all contained with Dynamics CRM instead.

There’s no built-in way to add an internal notification email step in a journey without using Power Automate or custom triggers. The most practical and supported method is Power Automate, as it gives flexibility for internal recipients and personalization.

    Thanks for all the replies!

Unfortunately, I don't have access to Power Automate, so I'm heavily reliant on my IT team for anything that gets slightly technical. :/

Regarding Power Automate, is this tool usually restricted for Admins or do people working with Marketing Ops use with this, too?
