HI,,
In my current scenario, I create a Case and then convert it into a Work Order.
I need to understand the recommended approach when we have multiple technicians (Resources) involved in the same Work Order.
For example:
- Work Order: WO-00004
- Task 1: Inspection → Assigned to Technician A (Resource A)
- Task 2: Repair → Assigned to Technician B (Resource B)
- Task 3: Testing → Assigned to Technician C (Resource C)
My question is:
Is it possible in Dynamics 365 Field Service to create multiple Tasks under the same Work Order and assign each Task to a different Resource (Technician)?
If yes, what is the correct configuration or process to associate each Task with its assigned Resource?
Or is the recommended design that each Work Order should be assigned to only one Resource, and if another technician is required, we should create another Work Order from the same Case and assign the second Resource to the new Work Order?
Please advise on the Microsoft recommended best-practice approach for this scenario.
